As a parent of a child with Autism, I would like to offer some hope to other families living with this disablity. Although Autism is certainly life altering, we also have so much joy Alec brings to our family. He makes us laugh daily trying to get us to understand how he functions as a person with Autism. I cannot imagine Alec any other way. We focus so much on how to teach him, but I really believe he is the one teaching us.
